It's Official

It is now official that the Senate is in control of the Democrats.

Senator George Allen conceded the election today to Jim Webb, giving the Democrats a 51-49 majority. Now the work can begin.

This country needs to get back to business. We need to get down to making sure that health care is affordable for everyone, that futures are protected with Social Security, that the country is safe from terrorists. We are not safer now than before 9/11. We need to get our soldiers out of Iraq in a safe and timely manner while making sure that Iraq is stable.

Listen to clips of Rumsfeld from the past and you will know why we are having so much trouble there. When I first heard that Bush 41 was not happy with the direction of Iraq, I didn't think that was a good sign. But he wants things worked out to get us out of there. He and 43 usually don't talk about such things, but they should. Maybe 41 should have been named Sec. of Defense?
