On English As Our Official Language

English should be recognized by the Congress as our official language. Period.

If you visit France, there are no menus in English. They are all in French and you have to hope you don't end up eating anything just nasty. Same in Spain, Germany, Italy, etc. If you get transferred to those countries for business reasons, you are expected to learn the language to survive. You have to know how to ask where to buy food or you go hungry. You have to ask where to find a bathroom or risk going in the street. They don't feel sorry for you. They speak their official language and expect you to do the same. Why are we different?

If all of the people who are coming here illegally want to be here so badly, why can't they learn our language? Why do we have to cater to them? And why do they have the right to fly any other flag above the American flag?

In Pahrump, Nevada, the city council passed an ordinance that will make flying any flag higher than the American flag. Not that you can't fly your flag if you want, but just make sure it is lower than the American flag. This is etiquette. No state flag flies higher than the American flag. It should be this way.
