We have been riding the metro a lot. It is cheap transportation and since I am about out of money, but have a full tank of gas, we drive a few miles to the metro and then go in to DC. We can go close to James' office or to the Smithsonian museums or the Zoo. We are getting good at it, only getting confused now when we go to a new line. David likes to stand in the aisle holding on to a pole. Today he was hanging from them.

Wednesday we went to the Washington Monument. We went to the top for the first time. Well, some of us did. David got scared and didn't go. He and James went back down and went over to the National Mall and walked around while Brenham, Nicholas and I went to the top. Before we went in, we saw Marine one land on the White House lawn. Well, it might have been Marine One. I think Bush was supposed to be in Texas looking at the hurricane damage, so it might have just been a training thing, then it would only have been a Marine helicopter. Don't know, don't care. It's just neat.
